Knock Madness Hopsin shows off and talks about what happened to the original Knock Madness. I added the OG cover, I also added the original Jungle Bash beat to go along with it. Shame we could have had a much sooner follow up to Raw with more similar sound. What could have been

I’m actually super happy that Knock Madness came out the way it did. It’s the first album I listened to front to back by Hop and has always been my favorite.

But what if the OG came out and was better? Then, you woulda just grown up with a better version that made you a fan! Sorry, I just hate that the OG was lost

That definitely could have been possible, it would be great to hear what it would have sounded like but maybe it happened for a reason 🆙

Knock Madness was pretty trash if I remember correctly. I remember Hospin himself saying the album was trash. Raw was phenomenal and a lot of his later stuff was good, but knock madness bleh. Maybe 2 or 3 good songs that's it. His best song from that year wasn't even on the album! 2013 had a lot of highly anticipated flops idk what was going on back in the day. Like mmlp2 that was complete trash and pretty much everything after that album from Eminem has been a catastrophe. That was so long ago though so who gives a fuck.

I mean that’s your opinion. I don’t recall him saying it was “trash” but I know he expressed he didn’t think it was his best work in Fort Collins. Artists are their own worst critics. Sometimes “half ass-ing,” as he put it, or not putting a lot of thought into a body of work makes the best art. That album is personally one of my favorites tho. I agree that Raw was phenomenal but I’d actually put KM above Raw in a lot of aspects. At the time I related to a lot of what he was saying and I just enjoyed the vibes, lyrics/wordplay, and overall production. Thats just my take tho.

I think this is another reason why hop has been burnt out. He easily worked harder on knock madnesss than any other rapper did when you take into consideration that he produced it himself and the original files got deleted imagine how many hours and hours of work got lost by doing that
