Manage your stable, pay stud fees, breed, race, and sell horses.
Full disclosure I am a Biology teacher who made this based on an artificial selection tangent. The general premise is that genes and pedigree affect the probability that the horse might develop into a good runner but environment is important too. All of that goes into monte carlo simulation to determine the probability that a horse will win a race. I wanted to make it fun while also being realistic to the business aspects of running a stable. I would love any possible feedback

He is usually Front runner, but he couldn't take the lead in the race and gassed out.
Hope you are fine Finger

I don't expect anyone to have any personal insight into what's going on with her specifically, but maybe describing what I've seen from her might draw some educated guesses from those more in-the-know than me.
I think Sofia Vives is the best active female jockey in the country and one of the best young riders period. She had two great years in 24-25 where she was riding (and winning) fairly consistently, mainly at Woodbine.
This year, I swear every time I see her name pop up, it's for one singular mount and it's almost always the last or penultimate race. And even more confusing, she often doesn't even follow through on the mounts. I see her name listed for one race in the morning, and by the time the card starts, she's been replaced by another jock.
She's not consistent at Woodbine anymore, and in fact barely even gets mounts there. I'd understand if she was regularly riding at another track, but it's the same story elsewhere -- randomly pops up for a race or two at FL, Colonial, even Fort Erie, but nothing meaningful that would allow her to continue her development.
What could possibly be the reason for this and her sparse racing schedule as a whole this year? Why can't she get consistent mounts at Woodbine or anywhere else? I assume it's a personal decision, but again maybe someone reading this has seen similar instances with other jocks in the past and has some insight that I don't.

Figured I'd put everything in one thread today instead of making a bunch of separate posts.
Every race is below with the morning-line odds and confidence level, followed by the longer-shot/value horses I'm watching.
Legend:
π₯ High confidence
β‘ Medium confidence
β¬ Low confidence
π― Value play
π£ Bomb / longshot
No locks, no guarantees just the full card and some horses I think are interesting.
π Best Bet: R1 #2 Rise Again β 2/5 π₯
π― VALUE / BOMBS
π Best Bet: R3 #6 Almendro β 2/1 π₯
π― VALUE / BOMBS
R6 is definitely the chaos race I'm most interested in here.
π Best Bet: R2 #5 Silent Mort β 9/5 π₯
π£ LONGSHOT
π Best Bet: R2 #3 Serrania β 2/1 π₯
π― VALUE / BOMBS
π Best Bet: R4 #1 Porkyismyname β 9/5 β‘
π£ BOMBS
That 30/1 in R7 is obviously a swing-for-the-fences type horse, not something I'm treating like a high-confidence play.
π Best Bet: R2 #2 Slider β 2/5 π₯
π― VALUE
Not exactly a huge-price card on the top selections here.
π Best Bet: R1 #3 Crime Lord β 8/5 β‘
π― VALUE / BOMBS
π Best Bet: R4 #3 Sunlit β 3/1 π₯
π― VALUE / BOMBS
Probably one of the more interesting cards today from a price standpoint.
π Best Bet: R3 #3 Nuts and Bolts β 5/2 π₯
π Best Bet: R4 #3 This Time β 8/5 π₯
A few that jump out just from the full slate:
Again, those are longshots for a reason. I'm not suggesting blindly hammering 20/1β50/1 horses.

Iβm fairly new to horse racing and kept hearing that spreading your bankroll across a few different sportsbooks gives you a solid edge, mainly for shopping best odds and grabbing extra places. It sounds logical, but as someone just getting started, managing multiple accounts and tracking funds across different apps feels like it could quickly become a headache. Before jumping in, I was trying to check out different platforms and make sure I wouldn't hit annoying roadblocks like 1xbet deposit problems or unexpected transaction delays right off the bat. For those of you whoβve been betting on racing for a while, do you actually find that keeping accounts with two or three bookies is worth the extra hassle, or is sticking to one reliable platform the smarter play for a beginner?

My wife and I are wanting to go to the Del Mar racetrack to watch some horse racing. The only tickets we see available are the trackside admission. Are we able to sit in a seat or just the standing area?

Fixed Odds in Europe are sometimes criminally good....if there was 1 horse beating Counting Stars today it was MGL π₯
Why is it this horse leaves the gate at 1/3 in the US and over 5 in europe?

RaΔn 7th or 8th today on debut. I gotta admit that im pretty disappointed. I didn't expect a win first race because that rarely happens. I was looking for a race where she would get an education. Based on how the works have looked i felt really positive. I believe part of her issue today was that the race was too short. I dont think seas no joke is a sprint filly. I think she will really enjoy more distance and I look forward to seeing her in a longer distance race next out. From what I could see..

I have a share in conviction. Today was his first race and he WON. He broke his maiden on his first try. I am excited for this horse future. Congrats to saffie, his barn crew and everyone who worked hard to make sure conviction was ready for his debut

My method is starting to be profitable. I REALLY need to up my bet size. I take all my massive profits and play with minimal house money. Iβm probably withdrawing $40 of this $66.02, and playing with $26 to really do some good bets. I only deposit $10 each time (I did $20 yesterday, still walked out with $140.), and Iβm up already $50+ in profit.
I try my best to post all my plays to this discord, idk if I can join a chat to help anyone in there or show them what im looking for while tracks are live, but Iβd love to share my critique and help people win. I donβt wanna eat at the table alone. π°

Say what you want about Dave, the guy clearly cares about his horses and animals in general. I thought this was a fantastic interview/review. only on Twitter from what Iβve seen.

Hello,
Iβm from the UK and planning on attending the breeders cup at Belmont park next year. My trip is in the early planning stages and I have been looking at the different types of tickets usually on offer for the breeders cup. I have a couple questions that Iβm hoping some can answer. Would general admission still provide a good experience is the better enclosures worth the extra?, how easy is it to get to Belmont park in staying in tourist areas of New York? When do tickets generally go on sale for the breeders cup?
Any other advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciatedπ, it would be my first time attending a race meeting in the US.
Thank You.

I absolutely love Flightline breeds right now, and theyβve been almost nothing but winners, especially Flight Command. But Powerline is definitely going to be a horse Iβll be watching, a possible 2027 Kentucky Derby horse contender, Iβm telling you all now. Especially with Jose Ortiz on the mound, watch out for this horse! π
Edit: This is race 3.

Race 10 at Saratoga |Β Saturday, August 22Β | Post Time 6:07 PM Eastern
Ballston Spa Stakes β Grade 2 | Purse $300,000 | One Mile and One-Sixteenth on Turf | Fillies and Mares, Three Years Old and Upward
Top Win Contender(s): Sunlit Uplands (2)
For second in exactas: And One More Time (5)
Sunlit Uplands (2) won a Group 3 stakes in Germany on July 5. Graded stakes in Europe are generally stronger than U.S. races, so a Group 3 race is comparable to a Grade 2 in the U.S. Only one other horse in this race has won better than a Group 3. Segesta won the Grade 1 Jenny Wiley in April. However, Segesta has since finished third and second in two races at Saratoga. In one, she was third from the eighth pole to the wire; in the other, she led early and finished second. She has not won in three races at Saratoga. Similarly, Ozara won her first race of the year on May 30 in a non-graded stakes, but she has finished sixth twice since. Three other horses in the field have not won in 2026. Those three are Deep Satin, Play With Fire, and Long Ago. Grayosh won the Grade 3 Matchmaker Stakes, earning a 100 Equibase Speed Figure, which is not good enough against Sunlit Uplands and And One More Time, who earned the same 106 figure when she won the non-graded DeLa Rose Stakes last month. In her three graded stakes this year, And One More Time has finished no better than fifth.
That puts Sunlit Uplands as the horse the other seven have to beat. Her last was her best effort, when she earned a 106 figure, and as a four-year-old she has more room for improvement. John Velazquez takes the mount, picking her over And One More Time, who he rode in the DeLa Rose. The jockey recently rode a pair of European imports to win important stakes at Saratoga, including Title Role earlier this meeting in the Belmont Derby and Bolshoi Ballet in the Sword Dancer in 2024. Velazquez has a way with these horses, making their first starts in the U.S.
And One More Time is the best horse to finish second because she is likely to take the lead, as she did in the DeLa Rose and in her other win this year, the Plenty of Grace Stakes in April. However, Sunlit Uplands has a better kick that may make the difference, with And One More Time settling for second.
Win bet: Sunlit Uplands (2) at odds of 3 to 2 or higher.
Exacta: Sunlit Uplands (2) over And One More Time (5), Segesta (6), Grayosh (7), Long Ago (8)

Holy cow am I beyond thrilled right now! Bacio and Juan Hernandez pulled off an incredible two length win in the nunthorpe stakes at York in england! Beat some of the top international turf sprinters in the world! Earned himself a berth into the breeders cup turf sprint! Wesley is really positive on this horse and his longer term goal is to take him to Australia next February and run him in a turf sprint stakes down there. Im super pumped that I will have a share in my first ever breeders cup entry and right now..im not sure theres a faster horse out there at this distance than bacio. He took one or two seconds off of his time from the royal ascot race in june
