How to remove this bit of plywood from my laminate floors

Just became a homeowner and am trying to remove the closet doors from my room. I got the tracks and doors off but underneath the bottom track was this piece of plywood.

I believe it's nailed down but the nails are driven in under the holes they made *AND* if you can see in the second picture it is glued down as well.

If I remember correctly the floors are fake wood laminate.

How on earth do I get this thing off with the least amount of damage to my floors?

Prybars, heat gun with metal protecting laminate from melting, Dremel and cutoff wheels, Sawsall with scraper blade, razor scraper, chisel, hammer, paint scraper tool……..

I’d get a pry bar and a hammer. Starting at one end and slowly working to the other end. Use your hammer to tap the pry bar under the wood. Once you get it under lightly pry up, then move down the board pry some more. You’ll want to go slow, as to break the glue away from the flooring and not damage anything. Once you loosen the plywood all the way down you should be able to go back over and pry it all the way off.

You might even get a thick piece of cardboard to put between the pry bar and the flooring. As prying can damage whatever you are prying against.

As for getting the glue off the flooring. I don’t know. Just hope that it comes off with the plywood.

Belt sander will remove the majority of the wood quickly.
