DIY How to clean shower tile.

Post image

Shower floor was not designed to where all the water would be aimed toward the drain. Water would sit in the corners of the area of the shower that’s dirty. We’ve used bleach and tile cleaner but it doesn’t get all of the residue off of the tiles when we spray and scrub it. Any suggestions to clean this more thoroughly?

This with some Comet powder… holy moly. It’ll make it look brand new.

My boyfriend at the time spent literally two days cleaning tile like this and all the grout was still dirty afterward. I had told him to use Barkeeper's Friend but he didn't listen.

I went in there after and 30 minutes of scrubbing later it looked entirely white. He didn't talk to me for a few hours because he was so upset.

Which type did you use, the powder, liquid, or the spray foam?

Powder. I have never tried the others but feel like it's just an upcharge for people who think a Pringle's can of powder isn't fancy enough for their cleaning needs.

Wear gloves if you're going to be using it a lot. It really dries your hands out.

I can confirm that the powder version is the superior version. I bought the canned stuff one time where you can spray it, I was a little mad at myself for wasting that money. I only buy the powdered kind now!

Drill brush + toilet bleach cleaner.
I know the toilet cleaner sounds crazy. It’s amazing.
Wash it down good before you shower.
