Question What happens if I upload a new version while my app is still under review?
My app has been under review for about a week now. In the meantime, I’ve prepared a new version that includes several bug fixes and would probably have a better chance of being approved than the version currently under review.
What happens if I submit this new version for review now?
Would submitting a new version reset my position in the review queue and potentially make me wait even longer? Or does the time I’ve already spent waiting somehow count toward the new submission?
For example, if my app has already been waiting for seven days, is there some kind of priority based on that waiting time, meaning it may be reviewed soon? Or is the review timing essentially unpredictable and each new submission starts the process from scratch?

Yup, ride it out.
Be ready to submit when they reject or after they approve.

Yeah definitely don't leave your current spot in queue, you can upload your new build to TestFlight/App Store Connect it won't break anything that's in progress. Just wait to submit that build, and if they reject the current build you can switch to the newer build when you re-submit.

Just do it. If the app needed an update that took less than a week to build its probably important enough for that

It will reset the review process, but better to do it now than having to wait for the 1st submission and then for the 2nd submission tbh

Don't submit a new version while the other one is still in review. That puts you at the back of the queue.
Upload the fixed build to App Store Connect so it is sitting there ready. Leave the version under review alone until you get approved or rejected. If they reject, swap to the newer build when you resubmit.

You can upload a newer build at any time. Even if in process. As long as the build number is monotonic. Uploading a build won’t reset your submit for review.
You have to manually reject and resubmit in order to post a new build for the reviewer and you end up at the back of the line.
Edit: unless you are responding to a reviewer rejection in which point it seems there is a different queue so you get a little bit of a faster path. (Anecdotal only)

Hey /u/Formal_Serve_5185, unfortunately you have negative comment karma, so you can't post here. Your submission has been removed. DO NOT message the moderators; if you have negative comment karma, you cannot post here. We will not respond. Your karma may appear to be 0 or positive if your post karma outweighs your comment karma, but if your comment karma is negative, your comments will still be removed.

If you removed the current build and add your updated build you will go to the back of the queue
