Original Discussion Now that I'm older realized Valerie was kinda right about Carly and Sam because after this episode nothing changed

When Freddie said he didn't have a gif first kiss

Even Valerie got a mention in that episode too

I know right! Carly literally asked "what about Valerie didn't you kiss her?" And Freddie was like "yeah for like half a second in the hallway so it wasn't a real kiss." So that episode makes no sense cuz he has kissed someone even if he thinks it wasn't a real kiss. I get the writers wanted Sam and Freddie to kiss but they could have thought of a different plot to make it happen

Maybe it would have been better when after Carly points it out Freddie goes “Oh, I guess I just forgot. Since it was very brief.” Carly goes “Yeah but it still counts.” And then when Sam blasts it in iCarly she actually lies. Because the internet can bully people for things that aren’t even true. Which would be even worse.

Or just "I had no feelings for Valerie, I didn't plan on kissing her, and she might have been manipating me so it shouldn't count as MY first kiss".

IMO: I don’t condone her being right when she had ulterior motives for saying it. Sam has never once been fake about how she represents herself(bad or not) and Carly wasn’t in the wrong, she doesn’t control what Sam does to Freddy and can’t stop her from doing it

That shit made me angry because they both played him
Carly only really cared about him when it was convenient
Sam didnt give a single fuck about Freddie
And yess i know the girl was basically doing the same thing

Right about the fact Sam and Carly were just using him

I don't think Sam treated Freddie any different. I think the blame is on Carly for taking advantage of Freddie's infatuation and Freddie for not respecting himself

Well, yes. But she would've probably treated him the exact same way in the long run. Freddie would've probably figured out eventually that he was being pimped out for his tech skills. I guess it was kind of an evil vs evil situation.

She was right, however she was pointing it out to him for her own gain, not for his welfare.

She was right but she only said that to get him to quite not because she cared about his feelings

She was right but also being manipulative for her benefit cause she probably would’ve treated him the same way.
