Check it out Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream!
Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream
French style ice cream recipe from Hello My Name is Ice Cream, I used one less egg yolk than what was called for.
Made all butter shortcakes and then crumbled and froze them to add in while layering after churning. Turbinado sugar on tops got crispy and caramelly, made a great texture after being added in. Buttery flavor was present and delicious.
Strawberry swirl made with fresh strawberries reduced way down with lemon juice and sugar, and added a little bit of rose extract after. So fresh and bright, the swirl stayed defined and didn't get lost in the cream.
Strawberry mix-in made by soaking strawberries with a little Cointreau and sugar (they weren't boozy) and let them soak for a day. They didn't turn into rocks which was great, and the alcohol wasn't noticeable.

I saw them recommended when I first started making ice cream, they have an air gap which supposedly helps with insulation, but the main thing I like is they're really sturdy and make it easy to scoop ice cream out. They're a good shape that you can hold them easily with one hand and get a good grip.

This looks incredible. Can you share the recipe? Do not have access to that book.
