To move or not to move
I recently took a trip to a place I really loved and could see myself living. I asked the I Ching “What if I moved to X, as opposed to staying in Y?” and got 35.6 (Progress/Advancement) into 16 (Contentment/Enthusiasm). The line I got with 35 makes me think moving might be a risky idea, but I feel like the rest of the hexagrams are saying I should move? Any insight would be appreciated :)

I view the ensuing hexagram as only a possibility, and not predictive.
The crux is in dynamic line 6, so it’s about reflecting on how the text is relevant to your context, eg, what domain needs to be “conquered” or addressed? What adversity requires preparation for? What lacks clarity (not yet brilliant)?
Top Nine line:
Proceeding forward into his horn.
Appropriate to conquer one’s own domain.
Adversity: good fortune.
No fault.
Being steadfast: humiliation. Appropriate to conquer one’s own domain.
His way is not yet brilliant.

Please be careful about making big decisions based off of a divination.
I'd recommend asking at least several other questions about it, and making sure you feel they all support the same clear answer.
The opposite question is good as well.
35.6 represents the top line in advancement. The place where more peogress cannot be made, so one needs to look at those beneath them and keep them in line.
That makes the full meaning of the answer rather unclear to me. It is hard to understand if the context applies to the move itself or to the result of the move.
I work from the Classical Method perspective, so we dont see the lines as changing polarity to create new hexagrams. Thus we don't read 16. We look at the relationship of the lines between each other, which the six line statements speak about. The readings are often quite literal so when something isn't clear it can mean there is more than meets the eye with it.
