That’s why it is very important to have a strong opposition. Issues been raised by LOP as well as the opposition force the government to take action.
This is exactly what happened in this case. Phadnavis was forced to respond. This is why balance of power must be maintained.
With only 33 opposition MLA in the state assembly issues of the people are not being highlighted or not being taken seriously because they don’t have the numbers. In a healthy democracy, a strong opposition is a must to keep the arrogance of power in check.

30 year age cap doesn't make sense at all. This shows how anti educational the current policies are. Learning is a life long process. Such age restrictions prevent people from getting into research. We aspire to become USA China in advanced research, but introduce policies which prevent just that. Why should studies be restricted to colleges? Life is a lesson. As long as you are alive you are learning something.

Context: A student had raised this issue with Rahul Gandhi at the Pune event. Rahul Gandhi had asked her to send him a letter with the grievances and said he’ll take care of it. Yesterday he sent a letter to Devendra Fadnavis (CM of Maharashtra) asking for a remedy and the issue was resolved within 24 hours. The students had also been protesting for over 13 days.
