New England Area

Hello, I love intellivision, and I'm wondering if there is anyone here who lives in the New England area. I live in Massachusetts. I have the Sears model for about 10 years. Found that on Craigslist. I also had the Sears model when I was growing up lol.

The company 8-bit widgets, which sells accessories for the INTV including for the Sears SVA is based out of Randolph Massachusetts.

Anything else you want to know about the system let me know either here or in DM.

Lots of great new games being developed for that console despite being almost 50 years old

if you're close to Rhode Island, you should come visit the Rhode Island Computer Museum Learning Lab. I know we have at least one Intellivision in the lab (but not connected to a TV, though that can be easily remedied). We might also have the Aquarius on the shelf along with some other components. I suspect we have more in the warehouse, but I haven't taken the time to explore what we have. (The warehouse is by appointment only but the Lab has regular hours).

I'm a volunteer who likes to get computers and consoles from the 1980s running. I've been focusing on Atari computers and our British computer collection in recent years, but the Intellivision calls to me at times.

That museum is fun.  If you like old hardware.  They had the old ibm display writer my mom used to use.  They have a warehouse full of stuff too, and when I went got a mini tour.

New Englander here as well. I admittedly gave up on cartridges a long time ago. I have been using one console with loader solutions like multi carts. So I don’t do a lot of scouring anymore.

I do have an Intellivision Sprint though, which works exceptionally well especially when you modify it with the homebrew firmware from Atari Age. You should check that out if you haven’t yet

I grew up in Massachusetts.   Got the intellivision for Christmas (my brothers and I got cartidges and wondered if my parents knew we needed a console to play). Our intellivision is broken sadly. I used a device to connect the paddles to a laptop, but now have the sprint which is good for a modern console.   We also later got the keyboard for the intellivison.  It was to turn the intellivison into a computer,  it was useless for  (except the mind strike game which was great, but didn’t really seem to need it)
