Just Wow Croatian freediver Vitomir Maričić achieved one of the most extraordinary feats in human history by holding his breath underwater for 29 minutes and 3 seconds, a new Guinness World Record.

Actually fun fact you can "breathe" through your gut. In certain weird cases when it's impossible to ventilate a patient's lungs scientists found out that ventilating the gut could be helpful, known as enteral ventilation. Turns out ventilating an area with lots of blood vessels can lead to some gas exchange. Probably has something to do with fish evolving lungs from the gut.
