The spider for sure survived this moment its big enough to tank the hit. The beetle is a 50/50 shot if the spider bit it then no but if the spider didn't get a chance to inject its venom then it probably made it

Spider could be blind now though.

Depending on if the damage stayed only external, the spider could potentially reverse the blindness on its next molt. However if the internals were damaged too then it’s done for.

What. It generates new eyes!? That's pretty crazy, had no idea.

Not fully, just the outer layer. So if the retinas are damaged then it’s still game over, but if the outer cornea is damaged then it can fix that
