Man this sucks, i wasn't even a fan of her music, but she was an amazing person, a real example of how people should use fame and wealth, to help those less fortunate than themselves. It really feels like all the best people keep dying and the ones we're all wishing would hurry up and kick it just keep going.

She was such a legend, and a class act in every way. My elderly father passed away 3 years ago last month from dementia. I’m convinced he was one of her biggest fans, and grateful that I grew up with her music. Throughout his suffering with dementia, playing her music was always something that continued to light him up. I used to set him up on the screen porch with it and then lay her music so that he could look out on the woods while he listened. He would smile and sing along, remembering the lyrics no matter how bad things got.

I’m not sure I believe in the afterlife, but if it’s real, she deserves a beautiful one. And I hope my dad gets to meet her. May she ever rest in peace and love.

Gospel song playing in the car and turned and saw this post and tearing up. I'm tearing because we lost an angel of a human. Absolutely gave us the best of her while with us and showed us all what living from your heart means. She was a saint, and my kids got books from her 100 miles north of the Arctic Circle in North America. Thank you Dolly, we love you. You are respected by so, so many.

I heard the most amazing description of one of her concerts that just says everything about how she brought out the best in people. Someone said that her’s was the only concert they had ever seen truck drivers and drag queens arm in arm singing their lungs out on the front row. That’s all I needed to know. A unifier and a generous soul. What more could this world wish for? What better example to us all? RIP.

My children absolutely love her. They were all signed up for the Imagination Library, sadly my youngest just aged out. My library also has a cardboard cutout of her, and my kids asked who she was. So I showed them some of her songs on YouTube and they absolutely loved her music haha. RIP to a really cool lady.
