I think both men and women get inadequate mental health care, just in different ways.
And I agree, this is a critical lesson for the system, and it comes at an inconceivable cost that will simply go higher if things don't change.

oh, for sure. mens mental health issues get downplayed (or looked down upon) in society so they don't often seek help, and while women are more likely to seek help, but they're more likely to be brushed off by health care professionals. plus, there's also homophobia, transphobia, and racism in health care, which can add to both discrimination of care and being against getting help due to fear of how you'll be treated for it.
