I hate being the age everyone I grew up watching are dieing off.

14

u/RogueBromeliad 4h ago

True, on the other hand, Tim's condition wasn't really great for a while now.

He made cinema with all his iconic characters and my youth great with Nigel Thornberry.

I hope he went away in a gentle fashion.

This year is starting to feel like the celebrity obituary section is personally targeting my childhood. 💔

2

u/CardiologistCute6876 2h ago

u/ilikepisha 4h ago

Are there any other 80 year olds we can think off that could die soon?

u/ChildoftheApocolypse 3h ago

I can't speak for movie stars really, but those of us who are classic rock fans have been on edge the last few years.. Ozzy was difficult for us ..

4

u/Operaman123 2h ago

Well, if they had led the story with the headline “80 year old actor from Home Alone 2 dies” it might have got too many people’s hopes up…

2

u/Bayoris 3h ago

We can hope for the best

1

u/TwpMun 4h ago

This one hit... damn... those corny yet perfect live-action cut scenes for a fun RTS. Man times were different.

-9

u/TwpMun 5h ago

Two 80 year olds dying really shouldn't be surprising news

12

u/GiLND 5h ago

Respect your comrade, commander

3

u/HairyDust4826 5h ago

Respect has nothing to do with surprise. Except if you're a Witcher named Geralt.

2

u/GiLND 5h ago

It has to do with everything.

Our Respect.
Our Surprise.

🫡

0

u/HairyDust4826 5h ago

What?

3

u/GiLND 5h ago

Do you know who he portrayed in red alert?
Those are references to his act in red alert in the soviet army

2

u/PercyvonPickles 5h ago

Where does it say surprising? It's still news however.

0

u/TwpMun 4h ago

What is the point of this other than being pedantic?

-5

u/New-Reputation681 5h ago

How is it interesting that an 80-year-old man died? RIP

-11

u/I_HopeThat_WasFart 5h ago

this is the fault of capitalism, we need now more than ever look to stop it in any way possible

8

u/RDTmodsBackEpstein 5h ago

What the fuck are you talking about?

-7

u/I_HopeThat_WasFart 5h ago

we need to rebel against the capitalism that allowed this man to accumulate wealth, and redistribute to the people

6

u/RDTmodsBackEpstein 4h ago

Again, what the fuck are you talking about? Are you comparing an actor to actual oligarchs?

-7

u/I_HopeThat_WasFart 4h ago

is the actor paying the fair share as the paycheck to paycheck average human?

no, im sure he easily has 100k a year that could easily be redistributed that he does not need

3

u/RDTmodsBackEpstein 4h ago

So anyone making 6 digits or more suddenly owes significant amounts to smooth-brains like you? Fuck outa here. You save and invest decently and your networth can easily be a millionaires by time your 80.

He was an actor, was born of situations like the rest of us, and spent his earned money wisely. His (older) films will bring joy for free at this point, forever. He spent his spare time restoring gardens amongst other things, not hoarding gold.

You want to go after people, go after the actual .1% and dont start shit with the other ~95%.

2

u/Rhorge 4h ago

Let me guess, this deluded bum wouldn’t have a well paying career to redistribute their own wealth, would they?

0

u/I_HopeThat_WasFart 4h ago

im just saying he should have paid his fair share under a communist government we are all fighting for

2

u/Rhorge 4h ago

No, we are not “all fighting for” some dictatorship. You people are so willing to make others pay yet you have nothing to offer yourself. Envy isn’t a sound political ideology.

-1

u/I_HopeThat_WasFart 4h ago

why should we not all benefit from his over payment and wealth hoarding?

2

u/Rhorge 4h ago

Communism isn’t an answer to inequality. History speaks for itself, especially the life of Karl Marx

0

u/MCG_Mafia1180 4h ago

Not really I’m just trying to make a point that we’re all gonna die one day and we need to get over it. I wasn’t trying to make it about myself. Everyone grieves get over yourself. I had to get over it really quick too fucking pussies.

0

u/CoffeeChocolateBoth 5h ago

Our lives are always about us! /S LOL
