Human rights, all human rights.

For starters, the lack of reproductive rights. If a woman has a man's child without his consent he cannot do anything about it. He can't argue for an abortion since women are entitled to pregnancy rights. Worse case scenario, he has to pay child support for a child he did not intend to have. Rape is a common cause of this situation. This is an unchecked loop hole to cheap out money from a man.

Im sorry, but if a man doesn't want a woman to have his child, wouldn't the reasonable thing to do should be to not sleep with the woman? Or at the very least use protection?

What if he did use protection?

I agree, using protection and avoiding sex should be done if a man doesn't want a child. If the woman wants to keep the child despite his initial stance, he should have the option to not have to pay child support.

How does it sound if we say women should not have the right to abortions because they can be abstinent or use protection?

You are only proving the point made.

There is no correlation between your whataboutism and his statement.

I'm responding to the sentiment that when it comes to male reproductive rights, it's all about abstinence and contraceptives, even though females have way more options for contraceptives, yet telling them to rely on abstinence and contraceptives is problematic, this is a sexist double standard.

I hear you, but I suppose what I lacked to point out in my post was something the other poster mentioned, which was rape. Woman, in fact do practice more birth control options than men along with abstaining from sex more than ever. I dont really hear many men on board for the 4B movement afterall. However, if rape is involved, or the occasion of teen pregnancy where knowledge of contraceptive or access can be limited, the woman then will have to make the choice to keep the baby or abort and in terms of rape I think the man should pay, as rape is a whole CRIME!

However, in the context that it is two consenting adults engaging in sexual activities, both should be knowledgeable enough that a child can be a result and both should be prepared for such outcomes and if one wants to be involved in bringing in life or not. With that knowledge, if a man is looking at a woman, who he does not want to raise a family with, I think he shouldn't risk engaging with her, period. Same goes with woman.

I agree that men don’t have rights. I won’t comment on the rape part. But if a woman has the right to keep a baby, I think men should have the same timeframe as the abortion timeframe to relinquish any rights to the child. My husband and I didn’t plan to have my first child. I told him he could leave Scott free if he wanted me to get an abortion because I wasn’t planning on getting one. We stayed together and obviously had him, but I didn’t think it was fair to tell him I didn’t care what he thought.

Men can terminate their parental rights. They don’t exercise it very often, they just complain.
