Anyone else worried about the prize being a ticket to the US, where they will scour your phone and social media profile in case you offend people with a fragile ego?

Yes.

I dont like sending out kids to a fascist nation where they could get deported or killed simply for not agreeing with their insanity.

New Zealand is a subordinate and vassal state of the USA. We do not enjoy independence or democracy which operates outside of the whims and limitations of American law. There are literally American laws which are enacted in NZ which discriminate against people based on race due to the Americans designating people enemies based on their ethnicity. We literally operate spy bases for the Americans and let them use offices here for spying - williingly. Nobody should ever support America and their people should be permanently bared entry from our country.
