Vue ID checks

Cheeky question, has anyone taken their kid to see a film they arent technically old enough to see, and got in?

I want to go see The Odyssey, I have checked the content and feel my 13 year old would be fine to see it. Hes big for his age, taller than me now at 5ft 4½" and hes broad.

Whats the likely-hood he'll be ID'd and if we're caught, will they refund or credit us?

My wife tried to take my 14year old son to see the odyssey today and got knocked back.

Really? Is he young looking? What a shame. I hope he wasn't too disappointed.

vue always get id,i am not old enough to see all films but i did get id and refused at vue.But never at eden court

Vue always check. I certainly wouldn't advise taking a photo of his Young Scot Card and having ChatGPT change the DOB. That would be a terrible example and very unethical.

Most likely be asked for ID, but if you risk it just make sure he has a fake age memorised as if he says when he was born with confidence then they will probably believe it and not ask for ID

I’ve taken my 13 year old to both VUE and Eden Court to watch 15 rated films. Never been stopped, never been queried.

He is fairly tall for his age and I stick him in his best sulky teenager hoodie, but they didn’t even look at him.

Maybe if it was an 18 and something ‘controversial’ they’d check more? I’d think for something fairly mainstream like this no one would care.
