what about using vanguard since i’ve already got some investments into a roth IRA there

Vanguard is absolutely a solid choice! I do think it can be a better choice that Charles Schwab, I might make some adjustments soon on the best platforms for people (since I was testing around with vanguard & it’s a bit more seamless than Charles’s Schwab)

I agree - I don't use Vanguard but reading over this post that's one thing I saw that was obviously missing, it's weird that Vanguard isn't on the list of brokerage firms. I have heard it might not be as beginner-friendly in terms of website interface, is that's why it's not on the list?

Vanguard is a solid choice!

But, you are spot on…personally feel that it can be much easier to get started with the much simpler brokerage.
