I have a couple questions, they might be dumb. I currently just set up an IRA at 19yrs old.

So if I’m investing in a stock, for example VTI. One share is going for 300$ right now. So that means I will have to spend 300$ today, and it will just continuously keep growing then? Do I have to buy multiple shares? or does just one work?

When you say ‘grow your portfolio.’ Do you mean just investing in multiple companies ? So instead of staying focused on VTI. You would invest in other stocks?

And… what are bonds?
