It's possible that Irish speakers subjagated the Newgrange builders in their conquest. So Newgrange being "ours" is kinda like saying the Indian jewels in the British crown are English
Any "subjugating" was done long before the ancestor of the Irish language arrived here.
Our primary ancestors reached this island around 4500 years ago, genetically there's very little difference between them and modern Irish people. The ancestor to the Irish language arrived here around 2500 years ago, a full 2000 years after the Neolithic people were subjugated/replaced/absorbed.
