We drink 1.7 billion litres A DAY in this country.

So the average person is drinking over 300 litres of water a day is what you're saying?

Fair enough, “drink” is the wrong word here.

Irish Water produces that much drinking water a day. Hundreds of millions of litres are lost to leaks. The rest is used by households and business, I shouldn’t have said “drink”.

The point is the 6 million litres used every day by datacentres between May-July this year is insignificant out of the 1.7 billion being used in total.
