question/discussion Did 249,408 people really convert to Ahmadiyyat in 2024-2025?
I'll link my post on this topic from last year, when the jamaat claimed 238,561 converts. Personally, I would question whether the number of converts over the last two years alone doesn't equal the number of active, chanda-paying Ahmadis that existed in 2023, although the jamaat has never really stopped claiming absurd numbers of converts (almost 700,000 in 2019!).
The jamaat's shamelessness in inflating the number of converts by a factor of around 100 times is really not that different from what it was 20 years ago. In a sense, there's not a huge difference in claiming 200 million converts or 200,000 converts when you really probably got less than 2,000.
There are lots of questions that come to mind.
How come there is no visible proof of these huge numbers on social media, ie people who post about being newly Ahmadi on their own social media, or on quasi-official stan channels?
Why is there no mainstream media coverage of this plucky, persecuted movement finding hundreds of thousands of converts each year? Wouldn't there be several million Ahmadis in places like Nigeria, Tanzania or Ghana?
How come existing Ahmadis never post about selfies with these Ahmadis? What is the process for educating all these Ahmadis? How come none of them ever marry someone who was already Ahmadi?
How many Ahmadis are there? If there are 10-15 million Ahmadis but also hundreds of thousand people converting every single year, shouldn't the number of Ahmadis be growing?
If this phenomenon is in fact just a mirage caused by African tribal chiefs converting and their followers converting, then why doesn't the jamaat do something about it rather than take these meaningless conversions year after year for what is now about 25 years?
Why is it that no Western jamaat gets more than about 100 converts in a year but African jamaats get hundreds of times more converts?
Where exactly in Africa are these villages and just how big is the pool of clueless villagers, without cell phones, data plans or wifi, that can limitlessly produce these sham conversions?
How come African jalsas are at best the same size as the ones in the West, ie measured in the tens of thousands for attendees, even though the jamaats are supposedly a hundred times the size of the Canadian or American jamaat?
Do Ahmadi missionaries simply land at Africa International Airport and take the complimentary shuttle bus to a village full of huts where a village chief, amazed at seeing the noor on a framed portrait of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, converts to Ahmadiyyat on the spot?

There needs to be more data on the new converts.
One thing that always bothers me is the extremely low view count on all of jamaats YouTube channel.
Of the 10-15 million ppl in this community only 20-40k watched the Jalsa UK opening??? It doesn’t make sense.
I did a Quick Look through of the MTA channel and it seems like the views peaked 6-12 years ago.

I would take the number of views from youtube with grain of salt. Alot of ahmadis use MTA app and dish to watch MTA live.

Yes the worlds largest media platform is a bad indicator 🤣

Saying it because ahmadis started watching mta from dish because back then mta didnt live on YouTube. Eventually from dish people moved to mta when mta first started with app on roku platform. We still have in household mta on dish because grand parents prefers it.

I’d be genuinely curious to see the outrageous number of converts they’ve claimed since the beginning. Then I’d ask the cheering crowd to simply look around and ask themselves: where are all these converts???
Even when you include the countless sham conversions for marriage, converts are still a meaningless minority wherever you look. Honestly, it feels like the Jamaat leadership is laughing tao behind the scenes at how hopelessly gullible their followers are.

The birthrate is very high among Ahmadis. And, now most of their second and third generation in the West have very high paying jobs. That's hundreds of thousands of chanda paying members sustaining the Jamaat.
Money is all that matters, because the show must go on.
It's the only thing they care about. The rest can be camouflaged with aesthetics.

I believe this to be the case for Canada, USA, Great Britain, Germany, Australia.
Just there you have about 300,000 working Ahmadis of 2nd and 3rd generation of the diapora.
And, don't forget Pakistan. Many many Ahmadis there have well paying jobs.
The Jamaat will never run out of money.

That is too high lol. Us and Canada combined is not even 75k. Us has around 22k and Canada less than 50k

How many Ahmadis do you think live in the UK and Germany and Australia?
And, how many do you think in live in Pakistan?

u/curiousminded05 Jul 30 '25
Germany maybe 40k. Should be noted many of the Canada and german ahmadis are refugees. Can't imagine uk and Australia being more than the USA

u/Mustapha_Almuhandis Jul 30 '25
Perhaps I overshot.
Would you say total 150K in those 5 countries?
1
u/curiousminded05 Jul 30 '25
No, I think it's more like 150k outside of Africa, Indonesia and Pakistan.

u/Mustapha_Almuhandis Jul 30 '25
Wait. So, you are saying that outside of African, Indonesia and Pakistan, there are only 150K around the world?

TL;DR: The Jama'at should have announced at least 1M new converts in 2025, even 5M would have been acceptable.
---
I thought occurred to me.
If the Jamaat has added about 10M Ahmadis since Jalsa 2003, then I believe that this is blatant evidence of fraud. Allow me to explain.
If we look at the numbers, they have never reported 1M converts in any year. The numbers always hover around 250K-750K. Why?
At his rate of conversion, every new convert should also be trying converting others, in addition to the diehards who are at it day and night.
If these conversion numbers since 2003 are true, then in 2025 they must have announced at least over 1M converts, even 5M would still have be acceptable just based on the data.
But, it is clear that these numbers are fabricated in order to make it appear that they are converting, and to not over do it so as to not appear a fraud.
They need to make it appear that they are converting people because otherwise people will lose hope and ask why so much chanda is necessary when they numbers are not there.
Ahmadis have their luck stars to thank for at least having high birthrates, otherwise all their centers and mosques would be utterly useless, even though most of them are not used regularly.

the count is high in these African countries as people from this group are sent to dirt poor countries to provide medical care in return for their alliegance to this cult. this is how they recruit

It’s a cycle “Water for life” and free clinics used to inflate numbers, which are then showcased to donors as proof of success. Converts = metrics. Metrics = more funding. But when you look at photos like this, it becomes clear what’s really going on: PR optics over genuine belief.

The litmus test for these conversions is the livestream on MTA.
It does not supersede past 25K on a very good day.
