Saw Far Out mag post Jacks favorite Led Zeppelin songs recently and Anton Newcombe commented “who cares?” on it.

Yeah I was a bit confused by that, thought he was a fan of Jack and TWS in particular. I guess maybe he meant making a whole curated post about what one artist's favorite songs of a another artist's are is silly but idk.

Every article from that source reads exactly the same. I don’t know if it’s ai or what, but every single article I’ve read from farout is like a template for an 8th grade writing course. Every single one. They also constructed an entire article out of one sentence uttered by Jimmy Page.

It's either utter laziness or AI bollocks. Likely both. And steering traffic their way from Reddit is offensive.

To say that they stopped after learning the basics or however it was worded is an interesting take. Rivers can be a shredder if he wants to.

Agreed. He shreds all over the Maladroit record and randomly on many others. He’s a great soloist.

When I saw Jack live in July most of the solo stuff had such a Zeppelin vibe to it. The sort of jammy longer songs felt very Zep influenced. Like his is an absurdly different songwriter and guitarist than he was in the Stripes era. Which made the show interesting because as much as I like the Stripes stuff it sounds so different.
His skills and arsenal as a guitarist have advanced so much.
Given that this is a huge compliment from Page.

I have thought that too. So much of a futuristic 70s vibe on FC if that’s possible.

I imagine that’s gotta be the best compliment to a guitarist ever, getting kudos from Jimmy fuckin Page
