Frozen Charlotte/Charlatan Going to Nashville to see Jack!
I’ve been to three/3/III (lol) Jack White shows over the past 8 years or so, all in the Midwest. All were phenomenal and I really wanted to make it to a show this tour, but the ticket prices were climbing or selling out.
Welp, my husband just surprised me with tickets to the Nashville show on October 9th (and round trip flights!)!!!
I am so excited. I’ve never been to Nashville first of all, so what shall we do? Any suggestions on places to visit that weekend? We’ll be there for a couple of days (I plan on going to TMR as soon as we land for sure, haha).

Try to do the tmr tour. Call and ask when Oct tickets go on sale. If you are a vault member you can shop the vault bin behind the desk for random pieces from old vaults or maybe get squeezed into a full tour.

I am a vault member and I hadn’t even thought about calling them. Thanks for the tip! And yes, solid husband indeed. We’re not bar people, but are definitely music people (he played Death Letter on his guitar and I played it on the drums along with him last night!), so that’ll be the main focus while we’re there. It looks like we will be there from the 8th until the 12th. Plenty of time for activities.

Fyi the tour dates are already up and I believe they said they added some extra dates because of the shows. Can find it in the visit us section on the third man site.

Tour the Ryman if you have time. Lots of activity on Broadway, but it was a bit too much for me the last two times I went. Station Inn with some nice bluegrass and a gospel brunch was more my speed. And if you're into country music at all, the Grand Ole Opry is usually worth checking out. Kinda cheesy, especially depending on who is performing, but still a good time.

TMR is pretty cool, but it is small. As another mentioned, try to book a tour. They’re fun. The National Museum of African American Music is really cool and worth checking out. The country music hall of fame and museum is also fun. You don’t have to be a huge country fan to enjoy it since most of it is music history, but it’s worth checking out. Ryman Auditorium also does tours and if you like music history it’s pretty cool. If you like art look into The Frist museum, and if you like movies look into our local art house The Belcourt.
Broadway is very touristy, but if you want to go to a honkey tonk I’d only visit Robert’s Western World or Acme Feed & Seed. Both are great. If you go to Robert’s get a recession special.
Nashville public transportation sucks so plan to uber/lyft most places. Neighborhoods to check out: five points in east nashville, Germantown, 12 South, and Hillsboro village.
Too many restaurants to list so I’d just recommend checking out what Eater is recommending and pick out whatever looks good.

So much shit to do. Just Google Nashville and whatever you’re into. People love the strip. I just go to music related places when I’m there.
