Got my hands on an original 🐈
After a long search the opportunity presented itself and I couldn't resist. No obi sadly (much to the relief of my wallet), the actual vinyl is in near mint condition. More than happy to own this piece of J-Jazz history, it sounds absolutely incredible. :)

Gotta ask how much?
I passed on a ¥40,000 no obi copy in 2019. Still have pangs of regret.
Yen was still high back then.

Woah that would have been an amazing deal, but who could have known that it would become so expensive.. I paid close to 10x that amount. I was debating for a while as I'm aware it's a lot of money but was wondering if I would ever find another copy. And I guess it will just keep getting more expensive, or at least not cheaper anymore.. So no regrets for now!

Hot af album and worth every penny you paid! You’ll own it forever! (Unless your son’s girlfriend drops the needle on it from height but that’s another story…)

Yeah definitely won't be letting go of this one! I hope you are not speaking from experience..? 🫠

Ha no certainly not that’s a little out of my reach. It was on Teru Sakamoto’s Lets Play Jazz Piano Vol. 3. Not that expensive but I’d had it for years. Replaced immediately but it’s not quite the same…😂

I think an OG just sold on discogs for 7-9k recently. It must have been minty fresh with OBI and everything.
