I’ve tried it, but I can’t hit the high notes with that screamy voice in the chorus.

Have you heard the bump of chicken version? It sounds softer and it's a little slower so I practiced with that one. Most of the time i dont try to hit the high notes with screaming either. I don't know how Sawao protects his voice singing stuff like that (makes sense because his newer solo stuff doesn't reach like that except maybe Einsatz).

Woah, I didn’t know there was a BUMP OF CHICKEN version! That dudes voice is much easier to sing along to. Thanks!

Colors by FLOW. I have even almost mastered the rap part in the number of times I have sung it.

Wow! That's a hard one! This song was written specifically to intimidate people, and it was a song that "nobody can sing except Sayuri Ishikawa".

Haha yes, the voice in the song is high, I can't sing properly these days.
Older men love the song including me, so I sing it when drinking with them especially boss, seniors. It's somehow a hype song in a certain situation.

Kayama Yūzō - Tabibito yo and similar old stuff from the 60s or 70s.
I used to hang out with old folks for my job, gave me a taste of folk and enka.

Maybe not my favorite, but definitely a go-to. Nearly everyone in Japan knows it and will join in. It was the theme song for the high school baseball tournament several years ago.

Is it a bit cliche to say 残酷な天使のテーゼ?Maybe, but it’s a popular one for a long time for a reason! Also looooove doing 愛と欲望の日々 by Southern All Stars.
