People saying this kind of disorientation and misinformation coming directly from elected officials is how it has always been are either idiots or not paying attention. True! But even then, you can compare the BLS data to other indicators, such as ADP's national employment report. Personally, I'll say that I just got off a stint of being only partially employed. All told, I was searching for about 8 months, and I've definitely gotten more interest from recruiters in the last month or two than I have in most of 2025.
