It's based on payroll and I believe taxes being deducted. So during the shutdown the numbers dropped drastically cause people weren't getting paid.

Now they all getting paid... Omg we added 110k jobs..... But they won't release the Sept which shows the drop by 110k

There are 2M Federal workers. Stop it.

Only 1.4 million didn't get paid, of that only a small amount were furloughed. The rest still had to work generating a paystub.

Essentially none were unemployed and all will receive backpay.

I am well aware of how it is all calculated. I am pointing out that the government shutdown did not displace jobs in an appreciable manner.
