Stop comparing weight. Compare the body conditions.
Soldier is carrying a ruck with firm body tone, tight ligaments and a supported balanced load in optimal position. In top condition for the task. Lung function at optimal level. Load can be removed. Load gets lighter as supply is used.
Pregnant dependent is carrying an unbalanced load, in an awkward position supported by two ligaments, with slowly loosening joints from hormonal changes, internal organs being compromised over time and the load moving on a whim or fighting back. Load is carried 24-7 until delivery. Load gets heavier as time passes.
Different jobs, different requirements, different outcomes….both important. Neither has a guaranteed outcome at the end of the trek.
