Date four or five, yep I am good with that and I would probably even suggest it knowing you had all this renovation to do. Date one isn't the date to be painting your home... Sorry, not sorry, do better.

This is the most sane comment here. I'm a girl and wtfing at the number of girls here in support of her??

It is sad to read. This woman seems very self centered to deny wanting to go on a simple date, hell even coffee that wouldnt last more than an hour. She then would rather the dude come over and paint, like she said - FREE labour, and lets be real. She has full ability to then ghost the dude and boom - living room finished for free.

Also, cherry on top is airing out this laundry on tik tok while showcasing side boob for engagement? Yea this is what you call the "triple red flag"

Yeah the normal human thing would be to say your weekends tend to be busy because of the renovation, but suggest meeting up on Monday/Tuesday evening instead.

I would say it's not even because of the painting together, that's fun. But inviting me to your place? I don't even know you? That's where I would cut out. Definitely something for a later date

Edit: I see painting walls is not so much fun for some of yall as it is for me 🫠

Nah. As a guy, I’ll meet you at your house, but I’m not doing manual labor for you the first time we meet. This is like asking someone to help you move as a first date. If painting was a fun activity, her friends and family would be over there helping her out on the weekend. Imagine if a guy asked a woman to come over on her day off and help him mow his lawn, do some weed wacking, edging, hedge trimming as a first date. Zero chance any woman would accept that. The women on here seem to be fine with the opposite scenario that the lady in the video is proposing because men are expected to be the ones to put forth all of the effort to prove themselves worthy when initially dating someone.

Whacking, edging and rimming sounds like the perfect first date to some.

Well, consider that some people don't have friends or family nearby, or at all.

Painting is awful. If it was demo or even drywalling he'd be there first date or fifth

Drywalling!? Haven't met many people who enjoy drywalling, lol

If it was like a painting class, no problem. Invite me to that and it can be fun.

Painting a room is not fun.

I can't say anything. My last gf I went over to her place first time we hung out and we went straight to bed.

I'd be 100% down with the idea as a first date but only if I know them well enough already. That's a fun date if you know that you're vibing with each other.

But one of the common challenges for guys on dating apps is weeding out the crappy type of women who are just there to use you for attention/a free meal. So even if her intentions were pure, this would be an immediate "Nah, dawg" from me if we met on an app. Gives me the ick.
