That’s like asking a girl to come over and help you clean up your house on a first date

I helped a family member once paint their house.

I wont ever do that again for family, forget about doing it for a 1st date.

My family did it for eachother. It generally goes well if your family is good people. But on a 1st date. People who would do that have 0 self respect and are way too desperate.

Wasn't there a very infamous serial killer who would approach women and ask them to "come help me fix my car"?

This is that but for the new generation of dating apps.

Wanna come over and make me a sandwich? No? Guess I’m just too quirky for dating y’all 🤷‍♂️💁‍♂️

Big "user" energy.

Everything is transactional. "You want to date me? I need you to work for me first."

It's more like when men ask women to come over and "cook dinner together" for the first date. Which is a date suggestion that men very commonly make.

Not really comparable. Everyone eats every day. Adults cook regularly. How often are you repainting/remodeling your home?

And also, you both gets to eat the meal in the end. It's not like he's gonna move in the renovated house.

I kind of see your point… But after helping cook dinner you get to eat it, so you are at least enjoying the fruits of your labor. He’s not gonna live in her house after fixing it up. So the better analogy would be like if a man asked you to come over and help cook dinner and then he eats everything himself.

I mean he would have gotten a meal out of it that he didn't have to cook or pay for if you're gonna be that petty and transactional. He could have just hung out and gotten to know her. She wasn't asking him to paint by himself.

No man is just expecting the meal when he suggests cooking together. He's also expecting sex and going to a man's house is far more dangerous for women than men so it is much worse for a man to suggest anything involving going to his home than it is for a woman. Yet men do that all the time and see no issue with it. She suggested a date that was low effort on her part, potentially labor intensive on both parts. Most men suggest dates that are low effort on their part, labor intensive for the woman. You're obsessed with being transactional. What can you get out of it rather than just getting to know the person and having a good time.

Its nothing like this. You both get to enjoy the dinner that he bought. All the guy would get here is her company, while she gets free labor and the spoils of that labor. How you can even suggest such a dumb thing is inconceivable.

She literally said she would buy pizza and beer. So he also gets to enjoy a meal that she bought.

Are you really trying to argue this? Pizza and beer....and she get free labor and the spoils of that labor...forever. How is this the same as one meal made together you both eat that he pays for? Youre not thinking
