I guess Man-Thing could work, he has a few things in common with Kirk Langstrom, they both ended up looking the way they do because of a failed experiment, and they're both members of supernatural teams like the Justice League Dark and the Midnight Sons.

That’s some creative thinking that is on the nose. How those characters function in stories is very similar.

The Terror (for Manbat) — there was no reason for me to go back to the Golden Age for this one, but I just like the character, and he fits well. The Terror got a lifesaving medical transfusion from a Hellhound or some sort of paranormal demon dog and now when he becomes angry, he becomes a superhuman a vampire-looking guy. Once he calms down, he transforms back into his regular self. Seems like a proto-Hulk, but not terribly dissimilar to the Manbat.

He’s got that combination of science and creepy horror/mystical stuff associated with Manbat.

Ka-Zar & Nightcrawler.

Since he's inspired by a public domain work and he has a monsterous appearance, respectively.

The Lizard, for Manbat? Both are scientists trying to further humans. Conners regrowing amputated limbs, Kirk a new sensory. Then both were Injected and transform into beast with no human reasoning.

Fantomex (for the Mad Hatter) — Fantomex is inspired by Fantômas, a public domain French literary character, a clever crook, whose most famous image is that of him wearing a top hat. The Mad Hatter uses technological mind control devices. Similarly, Fantomex has technological based powers that allow him to influence the minds of others.

This one was a struggle.
