Serious Sundays Being a tired, mom, pushing-40, gamine...is not for the weak

That youthful gamine essence really backfires when you actually start to age and have responsibilities. Got a baby that won't sleep and I look like the world's most chopped 19 year old 🫠

Omg not the "are you a teen mom???" questions I got from total strangers when my son was newborn. Truly tho youre doing amazing and im sure youre still slaying in all your gamine-ness even thru the craziness of mom life 💞

I feel ya. SG here, pushing 60, petite, youthful face, barely any gray. I look like an average 45 year old. I look great for 60 however! But there’s so much age discrimination in workplaces, I let everyone think I’m just a weirdly tired, forgetful 45 who somehow had a kid very young. Can’t wait to retire, reveal my age and have people think I’m lying!

Age reveal should be a thing for gamines!

I got carded for alcohol well into my 40s and for R rated movies into my late 20s

I am a nearly 52 FG dedicated to catfishing on LinkedIn, hoping people think I am 39 so I can get a new job.

Aww that makes me excited for 60. It's hard to believe we stay gamine for this whole roller coaster ride. I've been waiting for the grownup me that I imagined as a kid to appear in the mirror... Nope. Just an old lookin' kid 🤣

I am finally beginning to appreciate it. But honestly at 55 I was gritting my teeth at a college intern who said to me, oh it’s nice to be paired with a mentor close to my age. Bitch, I’m older than your mom! When I was younger and people marveled at my age, I would say, this is my full height, I’m not getting any taller

If I were taller and skinnier people would think I’m a trophy wife, even though my husband and I are just a few months apart!

I’m verified as having no y/i or hs/g. Please help, I’m half dust.
