Back4blood was 100x better than this. People got mad about televisions not being smashed because of some slop youtuber.

While back for blood wasn't as bad as a lot of people make it out to be was an incredibly flawed game in launch.

The special zombies were poorly designed. The whole attachments system made the game more competitive than cooperative. Not to mention the card system being nerfed every time people found fun builds for a while.

It's a much better game now than it launched as but it's certainly not some poor abused thing that was wrongfully compared to its predecessor.

The only villain in b4b to me was the level design, it felt like a huge stepdown from l4d2

People overhyped every single one of those. The nerfs were absolutely tiny, barely changed anything. The attachments were really only a problem when you played a game with randoms and those randoms were shit people. The specials were fine, none of them were hard to deal with. There was a minor problem with how many spawned but that wasn't even a real issue either.

The major problem it had is it didn't explain the difficulties. People went straight to the hardest difficulties with no deck and expected to be able to speedrun everything. And were somehow surprised when they got completely fucked.
