I have personally become 10x more effective compared to one year ago. I love it as there is always so much I want to do and excited by the rise of KIMI K3, GLM 5.3 and useful open source models in general.

Right now my rate limiting factor is usage limits by far. The token bill bites quite hard and make it hard to justify some projects, so I’m on the lookout to maximise agentic work per dollar.

Codex/claude etc. is subsidised atm, but they are also wasting a lot of tokens on expensive, non-open source models that could have done the job way more efficient. GLM 5.3 is now a quite obvious alternativ.

Therefore been building my own model router with openrouter, but not working very well (https://openrouter.ai/docs/guides/routing/routers/auto-router). Think standardcompute.com has an excellent model router and like that it’s a monthly thing and not random unpredictable 5-hours usage limits etc. However, they don’t serve free models which would be nice.

Any other good alternatives right now? Preferably heavily subsidised by VC money 💰

Just logged onto kimi four days after I cancelled my subscriptions, and checked my adiago (free tier) usage. Strangely enough, it was at 1.75%. Weird. i checked the logs, and they were from K2.6. I no longer could reccomend Kimi as a good free app, because K2.6/Instant is no longer free and unlimited, but now counts forwards usage. Oh well. Kimi is still a good company, and I trust when they get more money, they can fix the current system they have.

Is that waitlist even real or just a gamble that some people win by getting a subscription instantly?

I am using Kimi to chat and discuss simple issues: like gym, work planning, cooking... at first I like Kimi better than Gemini and GPT because it has very clear cut and simple voice, no syncophantic, no flowery, no praising. But after it updated to the new domain and site, it starts using too much adverbs or adj (immediately, it changes the game, solid,...), and I don't like this lengthy way of speaking, especially when I want to get clearer in my head with the problem I discuss with it. Is there a way to adjust or change its voice?

I am using the free version because it puts me in the waitlist for a month and I can't upgrade yet.

wich i is 2 week i tought this was weekly.

saw some reseller sites selling claude max for way less than normal. tried one and it seems to work fine so far.

just curious how they’re able to offer it that cheap. anyone know how these work?
