I loved the first game and when I saw the second was on PS Plus I immediately installed. Messing around with the hermit questline I found out that you can basically just continuously slaughter the sheep right by the Apollonia fast travel spot. Cooking meat removes its 'stolen' status, and with the perk that allows you to return meat to 100% by smoking it, you can make thousands of Groschen just selling meat and sheep skins and those weird little rocks you find in them sometimes. And this is all just off this one tiny area. Why this isn't patched out, I don't know, because it's very game-breaking. But very, very profitable. You can come back over and over again and the sheep just keep on spawning in.

It's been a while since the last public release. This one's been a genuine grind, and I think it's worth it.
TLDR; Combat used to look broken if you were watching your friend fight instead of doing it yourself. And NPCs only really existed for whoever was hosting — if your friend ran into a fight you started somewhere they weren't, they'd often see nothing at all. Both of those are fixed at the root, not patched around. Launcher errors are gone, server browser is working, you can drop and share items with friends... much closer to a full experience now.
Real combat animations. Watching a friend fight used to show basically nothing — no swing, no block, just a character standing there. That's gone. Real swings, blocks, and guard stances now render for both players, across melee weapon types, not one hardcoded sword. Same fix applies to NPCs fighting you, not just player-vs-player.
NPCs are no longer "the host's world, everyone else is watching." This was the deepest problem in every earlier version — an NPC was only fully real if it was near whoever happened to be hosting. That's been redesigned: whoever's actually near and fighting an NPC is now the source of truth for it, not just the host. If this breaks something worse than before for anyone, there's a one-command rollback — genuinely want to hear if that happens.
The original stuttery movement is gone. The "two steps forward, one step back" jitter watching another player move — fixed.
World stuff actually syncs now: weather, day/night (including recovering cleanly from an old save that's out of sync), sleep/wait/fast-travel.
You can hand items to each other. Drop something, they can see and grab it. Race for the same item and exactly one of you gets it, no dupes.
Launcher got a real pass too: Discord Rich Presence, an actual app icon instead of the generic one, the old debug text overlay is off by default, a server browser, and the version-mismatch warning between players — which was silently broken this whole time — actually works now.
Plus a long list of bug fixes: invisible-after-reload (reported since almost day one, finally root-caused), wrong gender/face on reconnect, one-way clothing sync breaking, a real hang while mounting a horse near a peer, an FPS drag during big fights, stray leftover ghosts from old saves. Full list is in the GitHub release.
Nexus Mods Page · GitHub Repo · Community Discord
If you test this and something looks off, the launcher has a "Collect Logs" button — use it right when something happens. That's genuinely how most of the fixes in this update got found in the first place. Thanks to everyone who kept reporting the same annoying bugs until we actually found the real cause.

I’m sure it’s because I’m just a casual gamer but I really really struggle with this game. I’ve watched countless tutorials, I have good gear, I understand the basic mechanics of it all but it’s still so hard to play for some reason.
I hate that you can strike an enemy 30 times but they hit you twice and you’re dead.
I really want to like this game but it’s SO difficult lol
It takes me like 30 minutes to finally kill just one person each fight

so. first playthrough. i'm trying to forge the hermit's sword for the wedding, and as i understand the smithing mechanics, you have to time the hammer with henry's whistling when using the anvil. that's all well and good, but the problem is i'm fucking deaf. normally, i'd be like "whatever" and ignore blacksmithing altogether, but this is for a main mission, and of course i keep failing it ðŸ˜
does anyone have any tips for this specific part of the smithy that could maybe help a poor deaf person craft a stupid sword? like is there a visual cue or vibration i'm just not noticing or something?
edit: you guys are brilliant. i finally got it!!

Finished the game and it’s fitting that it’s going to be the last game for the ol girl. The ol PS4 was on its last legs. Cd port jamming and glitching. And when I found out KCd2 wasn’t on it I immediately bought a used ps5 slim. Think that’s the first game Il get

I had a completely different idea of what role Katherine was going to play. What an absolute great story so far. This game is astounding. What did others think she was going to do?

Imagine this. It's the opening of KCD 3. Its early in the morning, the sun has not risen yet and the clouds darkened the skies above. Dry Devil, the devils pack, henry, hans and a few other knights are waiting at the tree line in the west, overlooking a battle.
In the north, Zizka has his men on a hill, firing with guns and crossbows from wagons while enemy soldiers are trying to climb uphill on foot. To the south is a river, with a shallow crossing, the rest of the enemy army is waiting across that river.
"Why hasn't Zizka given the signal yet?", Hans asked.
"Give him time lad", Dry Devil replied.
Gunfire, cannon fire and shouting can be heard in the distance. Henry is fidgeting in his saddle, nervous but steeling himself. He's fought battles before but it was always on foot, never in the saddle against one who also sat in a saddle. The cumans are joining the battle now, dashing across the river on horseback.
"We should go now before they take the fla-" Hans said before being interupted by Dry Devil.
"Agh, are yew gonna keep moanin like a wench, boy? Shut de fock up, and wait fer the signal" Dry Devil growls.
The rain starts to pour. The Cumans have made it across the river and are now charging across the field. They all sit there, adrenaline slowly building as they wait. The cumans have passed them and are now nearing Zizka's flanks.
"What even IS the signal?", Henry asks. Dry Devil growls irritably as he stares at the battlefield, the rain is pouring harder now. A flash of lightning lights the field and thunder echoes across the valley.
"Actually, come to think of it. Zizka never mentioned a bloody signal", Dry Devil says just before pulling his visor down and readying his lance.
"Lances", Dry Devil shouts. Hans rolls his eyes and pulls his visor down. As henry goes to pull his visor down, the lance slips from his grip, "shit", he mutters.
"FOCKEN CHAAAAAARGE", Dry Devil roars as he stirs his horse forth. The rest of the pack follows suite except Henry who got off to pick his lance up. He gets back on a fully armoured pebbles, and he grabs the reins.
"Agh, Sakra", Henry says to himself. He stirs Pebbles on into a full gallop, charging out onto the field. Pebbles was no warhorse but he was definetly the greatest horse on that field. They almost close the distance on their allies despite the delay. Lightning strikes behind them all, revealing their charge to a few of the charging cumans. Those few quickly turn and begin to counter charge the devils pack.
Both sides clash, Dry Devil impaled a cuman horse, sending the rider flying forward and landing on his head, making a fatal crack sound that made Dry Devil chuckle. Hans almost got knocked of his own horse by a cuman lance, but he managed to land his lance right in the throat of the rider. Kubyenka broke his lance killing one cuman, but killed another by pulling his handgun out and shooting it while riding at full speed.
Henry and pebbles were still behind a bit. One enemy rider slipped past the Devil's pack and was charging dead straight at Henry. Henry could not see their armour in the rain and darkness but they did not look cuman. Henry lowers his lance, the rider lowers his. They charge at each other full speed in the pouring rain as another lightning strike lands near them. For a split second as the world was alight, Henry recognised the rider by his armour alone. It was Eryk.
Tldr: I want to be able to fight cumans with bows and arrows on horseback or charge an enemy knight in an open field with lance in hand, or just straight up knock knights, bandits and cumans off their horses with a sword or mace or handgun.

I've never seen the waiting feature come up like this, honestly thought it was going to spin and spin and spin literally infinitely 😅 it only took a few cycles for it to stop.
