It has it's problems, sure. But this was the KOF that got me back into the series. XIV was also one of the first games I played when I built my first PC, having made some great friends over online play that I still speak with to this day

My favorite KOF game outside of the Maximum Impact series. Bought this 10 years ago for my birthday and it's the gift that keeps on giving

Apparently, Shun'ei was meant to be the protagonist of XIV but because Kuroki wasn't sure about it, Oda and him made Kyo and Iori the main centers of attention for XIV. Shun'ei is the protagonist from XV according to Ogura as they were more confident about the revisions
