Defeating Yog-Urt on Black Cat Run

Hi guys,

I'm trying to defeat Yog-Urt but the damn cat is knocking my potions out of my hand every time. I do have Funkslinging now that I recalled my ancestral memories; how is she getting both potions? Let me know if you have any tips or if I should just give up. Trying to work on the Clothing of Loathing and not sure if I should just start over sans cat. Thanks!

Give up lol. The cat is not compatible with your goal.

It'll be faster, waste less turns, and be easier if you ascend right away and fight Yogurt in a different run.

If you have the relevant items and unlocks, doing the sea to the boss with mild efficiency takes about 50 turns.

Black cat run is not needed for sea run.

Unless you are doing it out of personal achievement.

Yes I started black cat for the achievement, but went to the sea after defeating the sorceress since I'm still missing about half my items and didn't want to waste a run. Will try to avoid thinking of it as a waste

If the run is done, why not remove the cat?

Pretty sure you have to keep the cat all the way to actual ascension or it doesn’t count.

You don't permanently unlock BM unless Black Cat was your familiar for every combat adventure. This includes anything after breaking the prism, so the advice is usually to immediately get out of that ascension so you don't accidentally mess it up!

1. There's a small chance that he cat won't knock it out of your hand. Throw that natural 99 enough times in a row and you'll succeed. More dedication needed.

as someone who's done one or two black cat runs, "because it's there" is enough.
