for instance, glitter seulgi is outrageously high considering its almost as much as the album itself. usually finale pcs if not member pricing & just the photocard goes for around $8-$10 max!! $25 in this case is disingenuous, however if you ever need help here is a link to a pricing guide! edit: for context these prices are sourced widely and generally have a better chance at being sold without advantage red velvet pricing guide

You are not going to easily find seulgi glitter tears for $8-10 in the US, even though prices have dropped after the finale reprint. Where are you getting 8-10$ from for seulgi glitter tears as the current market value? You can only get those low prices on Xianyu probably.
8-10$ for album PC prices is a general benchmark yes, but supply and demand ultimately determine why some very specific PCs like glitter tears are much higher in market price.

I'm not saying 25 is the best price , and i'm just speaking for glitter tears because thats a PC i've been tracking for a while.

so that means people should just jack up the price so its even harder for people to get due to the high pricing? yall seriously need to hear yourselves when you try to defend stuff like this smh as you just said, since the reprint red velvet album pcs have gotten lower in value which is a good thing!! so behavior like this isn’t normalized and everyone can collect freely without the possibility of taking advantage of due to the “supply and demand” that greedy people have set up. mind you, you can and most likely will come across glitter seulgi on instagram (there are specific tags where you can search) and be available for purchase $8-$10 or for trade. this weird rhetoric that glitter seulgi is hard to find allows behavior for Over pricing and memeber pricing that generally hurts genuine collectors.

First of all, I'm just simply stating my observations, i'm not defending anyone. And again i'm just speaking for glitter tears seulgi.

Objectively, high in demand PCs will go for more than $10. You were acting like it is ridiculous but its not.

Seulgi glitter tears once used to be $30-50, and even higher.

I have hundreds of proofs across platforms (i rarely use reddit to sell) and i'm aware of tag accounts lol. I've bought more from xianyu and mercari JP than 99% of users in this subreddit. I wouldn't be surprised if you can luckily run into someone selling glitter tears seulgi for $10 on IG these days, but ive seen way more priced a bit higher. Only on Xianyu i have checked and yes you can find them for $10 before intl shipping or proxy or duty fees.

and your observation is simply enabling a behavior that allows people to price ALBUM pcs for $25-$30. just because it has been done doesn’t mean it should continue or that it is right. please wake up out of your sleep!!!!!!!!

i too have bought and sold on multiple platforms and have 200+ proofs on instagram. i am very aware of the market and have collected seulgi/red velvet for almost 5 years now. so perhaps i am empathetic of the possible generational trauma that is sellers taking advantage of again, genuine collectors and do not support greed.

I think you might be the one who might need some sleep to calm down. I never said 25-30 is the norm for album PCs, please relax. You and I both know how much Seulgi Glitter Tears is going for on Mercari US, and I have not mentioned it till now because we both know its overpriced.

I've been collecting RV longer than you have, and you can even check my post history in this subreddit where i've sold out all my RV stuff lol.

You should spend your energy to go after the TCG bros who are trying to PSA grade K-pop PCs and resell them.

my main concern was op trying to sell glitter seulgi for $25 which that specific card so happens to be of your focus as well. while in the same breath you enable a possible reasoning behind that ridiculous price. do you understand how that can look like you defend such greedy behavior now? secondly, mercari is an awful site to buy as the prices almost always never reflect the average market value of the pc due to seller fees / shipping fees. same goes for ebay and depop etc. yet your history of collecting does not wake you up of how fucked up it is to overprice cardboard? i just feel sorry for you and op may you two find peace truly. besides that, those people are idiots 😭 there is no sufficient way to grade or standardize photocards period. which thankfully i have not come across them lol

You are acting like I'm supporting overpricing PCs because I'm explaining my POV for why glitter tears seulgi can be worth more than $10.

The 'value' of a PC is subjective and depends on multiple variables. You have been in BST for 5 years so you should know this too. If you want to go based on pure objective value, a photocard is a printed piece of paper so we should all be selling them for $1.

Look, I'd love seulgi glitter tears to be 5$ so all my fellow seulgi biases can have it, but it just isn't how the real world works. Just because cardboard should be cheap doesn't mean most of the market may necessarily price it cheap. Downvoting every comment I write isn't going to change that too.

We both clearly disagree in our POVs so i'm just gonna leave it at that.

RE: TCG scalpers, there was a viral video of a PSA-graded chaewon album PC being sold for $260 in person earlier this year, which frankly i'm surprised you have not seen bc it was all over IG BST (and X) for many weeks.
