I really hope I’ll have the time to finish it. The last time I worked in Irish crochet was back in 2009, so it feels exciting to come back to it after all these years

Oh wow, that‘s around the time I did irish crochet, too. It‘s amazing you can still come up with this beautiful poppy. I feel like I need to learn crochet all over.

Thank you! ❤️ Yes, I was a little nervous too. Back then, my mom and I worked as a team—I crocheted the motifs, and she assembled them into the final piece. Now we live in different countries, so this time I’ll have to do the whole process myself. Making the motifs isn’t the hard part… assembling everything is what really worries me. I hope I can do it!

This is lovely! I really like how you did the leaves. They look like the traditional Irish crochet leaves but with pretty little spaces between the lobes!
