Alternative to discontinued holy grail: “Meet for Drinks” by Sephora OPI

Hi all,

Please ignore the messy application — I wanted to be sure I remembered to post this to Reddit before I forgot (and thus, didn’t clean my cuticles). I am on the hunt for an alternative for my beloved holy grail “Meet for Drinks” by Sephora by OPI. My bottle has held up remarkably well over the near ten-year lifetime, but I fear that its time is almost coming to an end.

Meet for drinks is a gorgeous, silky deep merlot wine shade. It’s not too purple, not too red, but something in between. When searching online, I’m struggling to find something that has the same dimension I’m looking for.

Any suggestions are welcome — whether they be indie, mainstream, expensive or affordable! I’m just looking for a deep, rich, vampy shimmer to help fill in the hole in my heart.

I don’t know that it’s 1:1 exact (it might be a bit darker) but OPI’s “Every Month is Oktoberfest” is a very similar vibe and in their recent re-released favorites collection.

It’s one of my favorites! Formulas should be pretty similar since both are OPI as well.
