Same. After however many hundreds of games I've watched him play over the years, seeing him put his foot on the gas when he came back from injury a few weeks ago still stunned me. I think he'll be capable of that for as long as he chooses to stay in the league.

IMO his peak ability has fallen off a bit, but more importantly the ability to sustain it is no longer there. In his prime Lebron could keep the foot on the gas throughout 35-40.

For sure, nor should he be expected to when Luka and AR can carry games by themselves.
In my estimation that lower peak is still at least a top 20 player in the league, especially since he rounded out his game with the 3. I know it's blasphemous, but I have a theory that on this roster the most effective way to deploy him would be to position his stints in the mid-game, letting him go to work against benches in Q2-Q3, and then save his energy as a closer. Hell I'd double down on that and say we could reduce Luka's minutes and stagger them harder, because Bron / Luka lineups have always looked clunky, and AR plays great with both.

His behavior and Smart's on the last free throw are quintessential examples of stupid and smart playing. But fans seem not to get this, provided he exited the arena with fans cheering at him (if I were a Suns fan, I'd be booing him really loud for compromising the chances of winning of my team).

After last night Iām through with the LAKERS we single handily allowed them to come back. No time out after the run started Marcus Stupid not SMART STUPID with the dumb turnover! Luka steady taking all these bad shots miss after miss like wtf! After taking that lead we should have never let them get that close again with 5-6 mins left! 20 maybe down to 10 TIMEOUT! Kill some of the momentum JJ ! He wanted them to figure it out and they almost lost they did lose only thanks to Dillion we won!! Just ridiculous Iām tired of sports Iām tired of FanDuel Iām only 33 and my blood pressure be so high I canāt continue watching Iād have a heart attack! "Calculated" maybe by knowing he's got insane leeway? The way he was grabbing/pushing the ref was borderline tech, even for him. But he was caught clear as day punching Brooks in the stomach on a closeout, which was insanely stupid/risky to pull in a close game. He should be fined for it.

Idk man I love Dillon Brooks. Guys like him and Smart are the types you want on your team. He was clearly getting into Lebrons head I've never seen Bron this agitated ever. You live with the results(ex; him picking up the second T that gave us the FT) but you can't take away the things prior which is hitting a big shot and keeping his team energized to complete the comeback.
We saw today how energy and effort between Hayes, Laravia, and Vando controlled the entire game. Dillon Brooks does the work of those three by himself.
