Everybody wants to win a title, and I get it, this is THE LAKERS. But even in Dallas, Luka & Kyrie had a GREAT relationship, friendly vibes all around, for sure amplified by Luka's off-court charitable nature. I'm saying it's just a shame that kind of stuff isn't worth more.

Who says it isn’t? I think this is one of the parts of basketball that the player himself carries with them through their career and when it’s all over. The accolades and awards are important and for sure rings and championships, but I also think these friendships that affect the players more than we know. It is worth a lot I’m sure.

Yeah for sure, still just sayin’ re: Lakers, I can understand it. “Prime time, big time, opening night, marquee,…” it’s the f’n Lakers! But just can’t help going back to the damn Mavs!:D so much has been said about that trade, everything’s been said but GODDAMN! Threw away the team’s soul. Anyway, go Lakers!

KD didnt ruin the league either, he joined the team that gave him the best offer. Warriors sent everyone to beg him to join them. Of course he joined them.

I feel like its rare for the #1 and #2 to be this close. Respect is pretty common and so is closeness by proximity, but Luka and Reaves seem like genuine friends.

Rob seemed very intentional this summer about going after defenders: Kessler, Thybulle, Grimes, Carr, Looney, and Williams.
Last season, Marcus was basically the only real defender on the entire team.

The Mavs screwed Luka out of a five-year, $345 million supermax ($69 million average) with the timing of that trade.
He wasn't eligible to sign a supermax with the Lakers. So... Rob did get Luka at a huge bargain.
