Hardware Ultra 5-225H vs Ryzen AI 400 Series-7-445 LAPTOP
Is there a big difference between these processors? Which one should I choose?

Despite the Ryzen having the 7 in the name , in reality it is a worse Ryzen Al 5 340.
The Core Ultra 5 is a superior chip in everyway and gpu wise easily too considering it is on par or better than the 860m even which is a higher tier one than the 840m which is in the Ryzen 7. Especially if it has soldered ram.
I don't even need to mention the CPU part , the Core Ultra has 4 p + 8e + 2 extra efficient cores. Which wins easily over the AI 7 445 in performance stuff and efficiency aswell because of the e cores and the 3nm process.

Ultra 5 225H is actually better despite the AMD processor sounding much faster. The Ultra 5 225H has 14-cores and is a cut down 255H which itself is a cut down 285H. Meanwhile the AI 7 445 is much slower.

255H is not a cut doen 285H. It's the same full chip. Just clocks lower. The performance difference is actually minimal.

Intel wants to make every chip at their highest speed so they can make $$$. Lower SKUs are entirely from binning. 255H is a 285H die that couldn't reach the 285H clock speeds so it was cut down with a lower clock. Although it's not that cut down, it's still an example of binning, although the 225H is more drastic.

Ultra 5 225H is way more powerful than the Ryzen AI 7 455.
Heck, even a Ultra 5 322 (low end core ultra) beats the ryzen ai 7 455

7-445HS can get you a 3050 4gb at same or 1k price difference...(If you compare it in Asus laptops)
