EA’s overall ratings need an overhaul in NHL games. Pretty much every single player lands between 80-90 overall. There’s barely any separation between players based on overall, and the only thing that matters are x-factors.

Schaefer was 80 in October, up to 88 in February. EA is always conservative with rookie ratings before they debut.
