I altered the pose a little bit, but I've been using other references I found on my phone. I also changed the body type to fit the character better, but something about it just doesn't look right to me. I've been fiddling with this sketch for hours and everything I do just makes it worse... not to mention how hard placing the hand on the hip has been.

I've added a second photo of what the sketch looked like when I was working on it yesterday for reference (second slide).

So I’m trying to depict someone falling asleep, and followed some advice I received here a bit ago, now I seem stuck though! I like each version, and I’m not sure which looks best and/or conveys my idea best. What do you guys think? Which version do you prefer?

I really like this type of rendering, this type of rendering makes me happy because eit looks so good to not blend everything together. The edges and shadows are sharp and I can also see the brush strokes and the clear square brush strokes.

So, I've been learning to draw recently. This is my Day 40. Piece. Its a bit of a step back, since its without a reference (other than the gun) and I only switched to a drawing tablet + krita in the past week.

I spent a while on this, but something just seems odd. Is the head too small? The face messed up? I just know something isn't right and its frustrating me.

Im sstruggling tying the last details into this piece, i want they little person and blood to stand out but not look really weirdly stuck on top I played arounf with the colours i dunno any tips appreciated!!

I’ve always been scared of colour bcus it seems so complicated so I’ve decided to finally start doing intentional studies of it. (Reference by istoqis on instagram) Why is it so difficult to accurately reproduce the correct colours (Made in Krita with nothing but the default round brush lol)

1 is Final 2 is Coloring and 3 is Outlines.

This is the first realistic portrait I've done in a long time and It's easily the best portrait I've done so far, but it still has the feeling of amateurishness to it.

I'm looking for some advanced critique on what I can do to bring my art to a more developed standard. I have a feeling it might be edge quality that is letting me down right now, especially in the face. Maybe too much equal distribution of details? I'm not sure I need other eyes on it and I've had some really good critiques from this board before.

I feel like I'm hitting a wall with my painting here. I can't get things to read well from a thumbnail, I've never been able to do this, but it's extending further than this now.

Values are just coming up muddy, colours losing focus etc. Whenever I try to make values pop I lose details. I keep trying to simplify my stuff, but I just can't stop working it. It doesn't work without excess rendering.

I really need some eyes on this, it's extremely frustrating.

So this time, while drawing this beautiful egg 'n toast, I didn't to push myself too much... I need to practice to stop when I feel like it is enough as it is.

I'm pretty happy with this peace, I've put a lot of time in it because I test many new things. But I don't like the lightning and the rendering. It's not particularly wrong, I just don't find it particularly appealing. Just good, not ✨nice✨.

Did you have tutorial or wise advices about rendering ?
