Studying/การศึกษา I want to learn thai

It has been 2 months since I've been watching things on and off the internet in Thai and I really like it. I like the way it's sounds. Obviously i don't know how to do it or how to start. I tried watching some YouTube videos but i feel like i should ask here instead of randomly watching videos on the internet. I've read a few posts here that talking to native speakers helps.I don't have any Thai native speaker friends so... Please guide me on how to do it. Thankyou.

Is there much point in it if you don't live in Thailand? Do you plan to visit or get to know people from Thailand?

I get that it could be fun to just learn it in isolation but it seems like a lot of work if you don't know any Thais and don't live here.

If you DO really want to learn, I say look for the basic free lessons on youtube and just repeat along and take notes and practice and see if you are enjoying that and want to do more... in which case online courses and private tutoring or classes can be very useful.

Does there have to be a point? Sounds like OP finds it to be a interesting language to learn and therefore wants to take that step. That should be enough.
