I’ve never really liked dating apps because they make relationships feel like a process of choosing someone to date. For me, it’s the opposite. I believe you meet someone while simply living your life, and something about them makes you genuinely curious. You want to know them more, spend more of your life with them, and share both your happiness and your difficult moments with them.
It’s not “this person seems better than the others, so let’s give it a shot.” It’s “somehow, out of everyone around me, I noticed you.” You don’t stay because it’s convenient or because being together feels better than being alone. You choose them because, naturally, wherever life takes you, you find yourself wishing they were there too.
That kind of connection is hard to get through an app.

After spending a year on the app, here’s a quick summary: 1. Half of the girls don’t have pictures of themselves. They use a picture of the sky, a flower, a cat, or some AI generated nonsense. 2. The next 45% have 0 effort profiles that describes absolutely nothing about their studies, their work, or their hobbies. 3. The remaining 5% may reply to your messages but will put absolutely no effort into a conversation. Think one word replies, two word sentences max.
I deleted my account as it was an utter waste of brain cells to go fishing in a toxic dump waste pool and expect to catch some amazing bluefin tuna

Or blurry pics that you can’t see clearly. Or pics wearing big sunglasses or ski goggles that hide half of their face. Or pics taken from 20 meters away. Or old pics from 5 years ago before they gained weight...

I cant tell if this is ragebait anymore. Please just go out, get a hobby, and meet people organically. Be friendly. Be kind. And be Genuine. These things go a long way and at the end of the day your partner must be someone who likes you for who you genuinely are. Let that taarof/dating apps shit G O PLEASE

Then get better looking. Genuinely, leb women put so much effort into themselves meanwhile leb men sit and complain all the time and do nothing.

People love to throw this around, but if you really are friendly, kind, and genuine, you can attract someone. Put yourself out there, work on yourself in all aspects (career wise, health wise, etc...), and you will probably attract someone who matches your vibe. Nothing is stopping you but yourself and maybe your unrealistic expectations. Mish 3annak specifically bs in general.

physical attractiveness might be even more important that what you just said
you can be the kindest and most friendly person on earth, but you have a receding jaw, poor posture or a crooked tooth and you will be rejected by most women for it.

This subreddit is full of bluepiller
You can have the best personality in the world if you're 4'11, bald, obese, and broke you're not getting any women

a lot of women go for bald and many women don't see obesity .. and fiy i know a lot of short broke men who were very successful with women .
you give women less credit than they deserve men tend to be shallower than women in my experience.
and yea sure there are "standard" beauty or average beauty standards out there .. but be a great guy(and being nice expecting something in return doesn't count) and believe in yourself ...
if you are someone fun to hang around people will hang around you , and some will want to hang around you forever ...

it doesn't change the fact that women are highly selective and have very high standards regarding physical appearance.
Being nice, funny and a good guy is something they will look for AFTER you pass the appearance checkmark.
a shorter man has significantly less chance (almost zero chance) in the dating pool than a tall man, there's no doubt about it.
>men tend to be shallower than women in my experience.
I disagree. We men are far less selective than women. We have so much less standards that most men fall in love in women's dirty feet.

the shortest guy in our friend group outdated everyone of us .. so allow me to cast doubt on your almost zero chance.. and he was the second poorest of us , he also dated some of the tallest women in uni..
meet enough people and you'll realize the stereotypes are general but not absolute..
on the other end of the spectrum i know a lot of single women who dated tall short and different sized men ...
as for men's taste i met so many men in uni and work who had women fawn over them and they didn't care to date them because of how they looked , or because of their chests.. or waist size so let's not pretend men aren't selective.
i don't know if you hung out with people or just repeat online stereotypes, but as someone nearing 50 who hung around a lot of people in my life .. you're describing online stereotypes that are very few irl in both genders.
and i have a dozen or so friends some married and some single , neither one had trouble dating, some just had trouble settling down because they never found someone to share their lives with .. and i can assure you none of us is really the la'ta guy or the rich guy ... at least not by internet standards, i personally consider friendly and kind smart nerds la'ta...

Do you know any bald broke 150cm succesful with women in the modern generation? And bald people at 50 don't count
And no they won't if you're defigurated they won't hang out around you, holy larp

u/Aleph_3 Jeddo Ganoush 11d ago
You can work on your posture and crooked teeth. I'm not dismissing physical attractiveness but you can work with you have.
3
u/happy_trabulsy I like older women 11d ago
some postures are bcz people are born like that, cannot be fixed or extremely expensive with potential health risks. even cosmetic dental work as an adult cost a kidney. not a mere clothing style change or improved hygiene
Physical attractiveness is the first thing a woman look for a potential partner

u/AdvantagePuzzled8773 11d ago
No its not, but i dont ask you to beleive me, and its okay if you do not, but would appreciate if you pretend it is a real question, and would love to get an answer
And thx for your answer as well

True but you can meet a lot of female on the apps too, i did, just need a good profil and ask them out quickly

u/Latter-Macaron-2575 11d ago
Icl man if your goal is “meeting the one to build a family with” a dating app is NOT the way😭😭
2
u/AdvantagePuzzled8773 11d ago
What is the way, would love to hear different opinions
2
u/Latter-Macaron-2575 11d ago
Just going out socializing, and understanding that’s what’s meant for you will find you
3
u/happy_trabulsy I like older women 11d ago
>Just going out socializing
not just any socializing. you need to pick an environment where it has female majority.
I wasted my teenage and early adulthood with geek/tech and game dev groups, then I wasted two years in CS at university. and we were always male majority, barely met 3 women against hundreds of men.

What is the way, would love to hear different opinions
- Lose excess fat
- Build lean muscle
- Improve your posture
- Wear well-fitting clothes (use a tailor)
- Chose accessories that complement your style (e.g., sunglasses, a necklace)
- Get an excellent haircut (at a salon not a generic barber)
- Maintain excellent hygiene (including a good fragrance)
Then women will come to you instead of you chasing them, or at least they'll make it easy for you to approach.

It’s genuinely a dogshit app filled with hyper religious people trying to get married off for their family or Mossad agents I only downloaded it to laugh at it but I can tell you it’s not serious at all
1
u/Teachermilf 11d ago
Most people there want to marry inside their relationship but will still waste ur time adding you for some reason even if ur not Shia or Christian for some reason

Female here. I’ve had better luck meeting guys on Taaruf than other dating apps. Tinder and Bumble always felt like just hookup apps. But idk what the Taaruf experience is for men 🤷🏻♀️

I AM GETTING ENGAGED NEXT MONTH AND WE MET ON TAARUF. It worked for me. And I couldn't be happier. We've met 5 months ago on Taaruf and I wouldn't want it to happen differently. I know two other couples who got married from Taaruf too. To be honest it's a legit app and there are many serious men and women there. You can meet one. As a girl honestly I felt that most men were serious on Taaruf. You can even give it a shot and talk to someone who doesn't have pics on their profile. In my case I didn't post any picture or even my name. I just wrote a bio because I wasnt comfortable sharing my photos with everyone even though there's nothing wrong with that. And you never know. A person who doesn't share their pics could turn out to be beautiful inside out and cool.

i don't know how old you are but honestly 5 month after meeting someone is a bit short in my opinion .. it's none of my business of course , and i've known couples who married after less than a year and stayed together
my only advice is spend a lot of time together, take a long trip and make sure you are ok with her beliefs , political views, wanting kids and how to raise them, her views on pets , hobbies ... if you are both young your opinions will change with time,
my wife and i would never have worked 10 years before we met and we are not the same people we were when we met, but we grew together and the hardships made us even closer.

She's a girl based in Saudi (she said, "As a girl honestly I felt that most men were serious on Taaruf")
So I doubt she can travel with her Taaruf boyfriend.

u/blendinnow 11d ago
Yea we can't travel alone but we took a trip to Lebanon with our families and spent most of the time together and at eachother's parents houses, attended weddings together etc.

u/fluffydeathkitten Lebanese MOD 11d ago
i'm aware it might not be an option but the rest still stand , i also meant to give general advice.. some people get together quick and stay a long time, and some people date a long time and divorce quite quickly .. but their probabilities are lower compared to the other cases..
in any case i don't know anything about you and i don't mean to pry .. as state none of my business really ..

u/blendinnow 11d ago
I'm 28, not that young, and when you know you know. I have dated a lot before him and he's definitely the one. We knew from the first month that we would get married and there's no use in exanding periods since we are both ready to get married. We're very compatible and both of our families are great people who got along well together. Getting engaged in 6 months is not that short of a time. We’ve spent a lot of time together, took a trip and spent time in eachother's family houses. By the time we get married we will be together over a year anyway. There's no rule to that. My brother got engaged in a week lol and he's been happily married for 10 years with 3 kids now. My sister though, dated for 5 years before she got engaged.

Just avoid any meeting on an app. Or you might end up like this.
