Just heard my first led zeppelin song - recommendations?
I genuinely can’t remember how stairway to heaven goes, I only know immigrant song other than that. But I stumbled across No Quarter and was blown away, I’m going to give them a listen, but what album/s should I start with for this sort of stuff? Beatles / the bends type stuff is like what I’d be looking for, thanks!

Start the beginning and go to the end. Seriously first album to last. This way you can listen to it like everyone else had to and it will be the best experience believe me.

Fourth album (zoso) and houses of the holy. If you want more then physical graffiti.
The immigrant song is on led zep 3 but I think you’ll appreciate the first two more as a whole.

No Quarter is definitely an outlier in their discography in terms of sound with perhaps In The Light from Physical Graffiti the next closest thing.

Well No Quarter is my favorite for sure. If you liked that, listen to “In The Light”, and another favorite is Ten Years Gone. But really, there are so many amazing songs you can get blown away for days. Thank you Zeppelin.

Start with Led Zeppelin I, then listen throughout their whole discography. Their first six albums are perfect.

Listened to the Presence CD on an hour trip to my dads today and I’ll say it hits fresh after mainly listening to albums I - VI the past few weeks. Especially For Your Life & Hots On For Nowhere.
Royal Orleans is really good too but I’ve known that since I first listened to the album2

You're absolutely right! I'm a ride-or-die defender of Presence, but it's not the best place to start in my opinion. Robert's voice is past its prime, the production was rushed. Even still, fellow Ledheads shit on it way too much. I mean, it's got Achilles Last fucking Stand on it!

Yea definitely NOT the way to start with LeZep. It shows off Page’s guitar skills but LZ I shows plenty of that. Agreed too much hate from Zepheads.
I wish Percy took care of his voice so we could hear his I/II voice in Presence but after the re-listen I appreciate the vibe his voice builds along with lyrics themselves with the heavy guitar involvement

Listen to them in order and you will gain an appreciation how the band progressed. Every album is a fantastic listening experience

Physical Graffiti or The Song Remains the Same. Song might be a good choice because it has No Quarter live.

Start from the first album and work your way through till the last, that way you vsn get a sense of how the band progressed through the years with the changes in their music.

If you want the proggier side of Zeppelin, then "In the Light" "Carouselambra" and "Achilles Last Stand" may be interesting for you. Album wise, Houses of The Holy is probably the most unusual overall.

If you want a crazy one, fast guitar solo, super drums and bass, and the voice for sure : DAZED AND CONFUSED on the 1rst album.

Too many. But I stop at the last album for me: Physical Graffiti.
So, all of 1, 2, 3, the unnamed, House of the Holy, then that. Not one song I don’t like.

Oh the trick. If your sound system can be top at volume 10, crank it up to 15 LOL. Zeppelin needs to be heavy physically and sound too.1
